Cabaret

Directed by Noah Racey

Sound Design by Chris Carignan

Set in 1931, Cabaret is a powerful, dance-driven musical set in Berlin, Germany exploring the dark, intoxicating, and turbulent life of Berlin’s citizens under an emerging Third Reich. Focusing on the nightlife at the sexy, seedy Kit Kat Klub, the play revolves around American writer Cliff Bradshaw and his relationship with English cabaret performer Sally Bowles. CSU’s version of Cabaret will remount for KCACTF’s visit to campus in February 2020.

To the right are a few recordings I made of the CSU band featuring Aaron Gandy performing a few songs from the show. Thanks to Cal Mckelfresh for singing Boy Soprano.
